The Pierre-Mauroy stadium, also called Decathlon Arena Stade Pierre Mauroy by naming contract since 2022, is both a modular football stadium with 50,187 seats and an arena, which has the unique distinction in the world of having five configurations possible (covered or not thanks to its mobile roof of 7,600 tonnes which can be closed in thirty minutes) due to its lawn which lifts on its half and moves to come superimposed on the remaining half and thus release additional retractable stands located below the level of the lawn as well as new soil.
