The 2m high bronze Winged Lion is dedicated to the Czech pilots and airmen who served in the Royal Air Force during WWII and participated in the Battle of Britain. The lion stands on a plinth featuring Czech granite. Note the rivets around the plinth, the design represents the fuselage of fighter planes.
